Bio

Asami and Yasumi are sisters born in Japan and raised in the Bay Area of California. We are inspired by our Japanese heritage and Western art education, and often make works that are a blend of both cultures. We make zines as an accessible alternative to sharing our art and our experiences.

Zines

Natsu: a summer art zine, $5.00 - Natsu means summer in Japanese. This zine was made in the summer of 2021 and is a collaboration between Asami and her sister Yasumi. Inspired by Japanese style chigiri-e (a type of torn paper collage), the zine features postcards, drawings, and a summer playlist. Dimensions 4.25" x 5.25". Link to purchase.
