Bio

My name is Eleanor Hitchcock and I am the “angsty teen” behind Unfunction, a monthly poetry zine. Here are a few fun facts about me: 1) I’m unhealthily obsessed with the moon, 2) I spend a ridiculous amount of time writing, whether it be music or poetry, and 3) I love art but can’t draw anything realistic to save my life. I published the first issue of my zine in April of 2023 and have done three so far. All the zines have original poems I wrote. I am in my senior year of High School and will be leading the poetry club and serving as editor of my school’s literary journal this year. When I am not writing poetry, I am pursuing my passion for ballet and contemporary dance.
